Our Journey: Building Partnerships Beyond Technology

About IvyWeb

Founded by Waldo and Jacobus, IvyWeb began as a solution to a common student dilemma: the need for reliable, fast, and affordable internet. Our approach was simple yet innovative – design smart hardware setups and installations that minimize costs without compromising quality. This initial venture set the tone for our future endeavours in the IT services sector.

Our Core Principles

At IvyWeb, we've always been driven by a set of fundamental beliefs that not only make us proud of our work but also set us apart from others in the industry.

  1. Partnership Over Patronage: We don't just see our customers as clients; we view them as partners. Our success is directly tied to yours. This perspective shapes our advice – it's not about selling more, but about enhancing your company's capabilities. We focus on what you need, not just what you want, ensuring that our guidance leads to informed and effective decisions.

  2. Integrity and Quality: Throughout our journey, we've faced choices between offering superior service or opting for inferior products and practices. Our choice has always been clear. We prioritize integrity and quality. This means we treat you as a partner, not just a client. Our commitment to honesty and excellence not only helps us sleep better at night but also assures you that our partnership is built on trust and mutual respect.

  3. Commitment to Long-Term Relationships: At IvyWeb, we believe that small companies have the potential to become large ones. We are dedicated to nurturing long-term relationships with our clients, understanding that their growth and success are intertwined with ours. By supporting businesses at every stage of their development, we aim to be a constant, reliable partner in their journey towards expansion and success.

Meet the Founders

Jacobus: With extensive experience in the IT industry, Jacobus has worked on systems and networks of all sizes, from country-wide setups serving 50,000 users to small 5-user installations. Specializing in 24/7/365 enterprise-level computing systems, his expertise is invaluable for any project, whether it's for a large corporation or a small business with 24 employees. His areas of expertise include:

  • Linux systems (Ubuntu, Redhat, Proxmox)
  • Cloud infrastructure, networking, hardware building, and software development
  • Electricity and electronics
  • Networking for both small and large-scale deployments

Jacobus's approach is grounded in practical experience rather than formal certifications, having contributed to the industry even before many certifications were established. However, IvyWeb is open to obtaining any specific certifications at the client's request.

Waldo: With a background in engineering, Waldo brings a wealth of knowledge in electricity, basic programming, and hardware design. He spearheads the hardware sales and networking installation segments of IvyWeb, ensuring that each solution is tailored to the client's unique needs and circumstances.

Moving Forward Together

As IvyWeb continues to grow and evolve, our core principles remain steadfast. We're not just providing IT services; we're creating lasting partnerships based on trust, quality, and a shared vision for success.
